El sector automovilístico catalán se declara a la ofensiva para liderar la electromovilidad

El Clúster de la Industria de Automoción de Catalunya (CIAC) ha anunciado su intención de pasar a la ofensiva para consolidar a la región como polo de electromovilidad en el sur de Europa.

Durante el encuentro Mítind d'Auto, el presidente del CIAC, Josep Maria Vall, afirmó que el sector deja atrás la posición defensiva. “Estamos en la tormenta perfecta y todavía no ha amainado”, reconoció Vall, aunque destacó la ambición del sector.

El automóvil sostiene 150.000 empleos en Catalunya y cuenta con más de 300 empresas industriales, según Xavier Roca, director general de Industria de la Generalitat. Las inversiones en movilidad cero emisiones buscan reducir la dependencia exterior y atraer capital.

Vicenç Aguilera, de Ebro, señaló la reindustrialización de la antigua planta de Nissan en Barcelona. Modesto Martínez, de Indra Land Vehicles, propuso alianzas con el sector de defensa para diversificar mediante tecnología dual, con contratos por 7.500 millones de euros.
