Minvu inicia demolición de viviendas en El Olivar

El Ministerio de Vivienda y Urbanismo comenzó este viernes la demolición de casas con fallas graves en el sector El Olivar de Viña del Mar. La medida forma parte del plan de reconstrucción tras el megaincendio de 2024.

El Ministerio de Vivienda y Urbanismo, encabezado por Iván Poduje, inició el viernes la demolición de cuatro viviendas en El Olivar. El proceso contempla también el inicio de obras en ocho viviendas nuevas.

El seremi Marcelo Ruiz señaló que “demoler también es proteger”. Agregó que el plan total contempla intervenir 170 viviendas en tres meses.

La empresa Social Arquitectura cuestionó la legalidad de las demoliciones. Su abogada Erika Maira afirmó que las casas no coinciden con los informes del ministerio y las calificó de “innecesaria y absolutamente ilegal”.

El Minvu respondió que las viviendas presentan fallas estructurales y de seguridad. Indicó que el objetivo es evitar entregar casas inhabitables a las familias damnificadas.
