Más de 2.500 personas protestan contra despidos de Nestlé en Cantabria

Más de 2.500 personas marcharon este mediodía en Santa María de Cayón contra el ERE de Nestlé que incluye 49 despidos en la planta de La Penilla.

La manifestación partió del campo de fútbol de Sarón y llegó a la fábrica tras casi dos horas de recorrido. Los participantes portaron una pancarta con el lema 'No a los despidos en Nestlé' y corearon consignas como 'La Penilla no se vende. La Penilla se defiende'.

Al llegar a la planta, representantes de los trabajadores leyeron un manifiesto. En él destacaron que '120 años de historia no se borran con una firma' y subrayaron que generaciones enteras han aportado esfuerzo y conocimiento a la fábrica.

Los manifestantes exigieron implicación de las administraciones para defender el empleo y anunciaron paros adicionales los días 27 y 28 de mayo, antes de una huelga indefinida prevista para el 1 de junio.
