Un tribunal ordonne à Linet Toto de verser près d'un million de shillings à un ancien employé

Le tribunal du travail et de l'emploi a ordonné à la représentante des femmes du comté de Bomet, Linet Chepkorir Toto, de verser près d'un million de shillings à son ancien employé pour licenciement abusif.

Le tribunal a accordé à Kipkirui Dominic Mutai la somme de 990 110 shillings, assortie d'un intérêt annuel de 14 pour cent. Mutai occupait le poste de directeur adjoint du comté au sein du bureau de Toto depuis octobre 2022. Les problèmes ont commencé en mars 2023 lorsque Mutai a reçu des menaces de la part du mari de Toto. Il a signalé l'incident au commissariat de police de Bomet. En avril 2023, ses clés de bureau lui ont été retirées et l'accès à son lieu de travail lui a été interdit sans préavis ni procédure disciplinaire. Le tribunal a jugé que ce licenciement violait le droit du travail.
