المحكمة تأمر لينيت توتو بدفع ما يقرب من مليون شلن لموظف سابق

أمرت محكمة العمل والتوظيف ممثلة نساء مقاطعة بوميت، لينيت تشيبكورير توتو، بدفع تعويض لموظفها السابق يقارب مليون شلن كيني بسبب فصله تعسفياً.

قضت المحكمة لصالح كيبكيروي دومينيك موتاي بمبلغ 990,110 شلن بالإضافة إلى فائدة سنوية بنسبة 14 بالمئة. كان موتاي قد عمل نائباً لمدير المقاطعة في مكتب توتو منذ أكتوبر 2022. بدأت المشاكل في مارس 2023 عندما تلقى موتاي تهديدات من زوج توتو، حيث أبلغ عن الواقعة في مركز شرطة بوميت. وفي أبريل 2023، تم سحب مفاتيح المكتب منه ومُنِع من دخول مقر عمله دون سابق إنذار أو إجراء جلسة استماع تأديبية. وأكدت المحكمة أن هذا الفصل يعد انتهاكاً لقانون العمل.
