La Cour suprême se prononce contre la grâce de García Ortiz

La chambre pénale de la Cour suprême a rendu un avis défavorable concernant la grâce sollicitée pour l'ancien procureur général Álvaro García Ortiz.

Le tribunal a reconnu García Ortiz coupable d'avoir divulgué des données fiscales confidentielles appartenant à l'homme d'affaires Alberto González Amador, compagnon d'Isabel Díaz Ayuso. La sentence a imposé une amende de 7 200 euros et deux ans d'inéligibilité spéciale pour le poste de procureur général. Le rapport, publié jeudi, stipule que les faits étaient graves et ont affecté la stature institutionnelle du ministère public. La chambre ne voit aucune raison de justice, d'équité ou d'utilité publique justifiant l'octroi de la grâce. Le parquet, par l'intermédiaire de la lieutenante-procureure Ángeles Sánchez-Conde, a soutenu une grâce partielle concernant la période d'inéligibilité restante. García Ortiz a déjà réglé l'amende ainsi que 10 000 euros d'indemnisation. La décision appartient désormais au ministère de la Justice dirigé par Félix Bolaños.
