Build a Rocket Boy möter rättsliga åtgärder gällande övervakningsprogramvara

Anställda på MindsEye-utvecklaren Build a Rocket Boy, som företräds av fackförbundet IWGB Game Workers Union, har inlett rättsliga åtgärder med anklagelser om att den integritetskränkande övervakningsmjukvaran Teramind installerats på deras arbetsenheter utan deras vetskap. Fackförbundet Independent Workers’ Union of Great Britain (IWGB) meddelade den 21 april att anställda på Build a Rocket Boy (BARB) har inlett rättsliga processer rörande brott mot dataskyddslagstiftningen. Ledningen hade installerat Teramind, vilket enligt fackförbundet går utöver legitim övervakning genom att filma individer i deras hem utan samtycke. Företaget avinstallerade mjukvaran efter ett kollektivt klagomål, men har enligt IWGB vägrat att tillmötesgå krav på information om vilken data som samlats in, hur den använts och varför mjukvaran installerades.
