Carboneras anula la licencia del Algarrobico tras orden judicial

El Ayuntamiento de Carboneras ha aprobado la anulación de la licencia de obras del hotel Algarrobico. La decisión cumple con un mandato del Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Andalucía dictado el 24 de junio.

El pleno extraordinario del 7 de julio aprobó por siete votos a favor la nulidad de la licencia concedida en 2003 para construir el hotel en el Parque Natural de Cabo de Gata. Cuatro ediles se ausentaron durante la votación.

El alcalde Salvador Hernández pidió apoyo a la Junta de Andalucía y al Gobierno central para avanzar hacia la demolición. La empresa Azata del Sol dispone de dos meses para recurrir ante la jurisdicción contencioso administrativa.

La consejera de Fomento en funciones Rocío Díaz anunció que la Junta impulsará de inmediato los trabajos técnicos para la restauración ambiental del espacio. Greenpeace solicitará al tribunal que ordene el derribo inmediato del edificio.
