Les commissaires de la F1 font preuve de clémence concernant les points de pénalité en 2026

Les commissaires de Formule 1 n'ont attribué aucun point de pénalité sur les superlicences des pilotes durant la première partie de la saison 2026. Cela marque un changement clair par rapport aux années précédentes, où les points accompagnaient plus fréquemment les sanctions sportives. Ce changement fait suite à des discussions entre la FIA et les pilotes au cours de l'hiver.

Les courses en Australie, en Chine et au Japon ont donné lieu à peu ou pas de pénalités. Le Canada a connu davantage d'interventions, notamment deux pénalités de 10 secondes infligées à Isack Hadjar de Red Bull. L'une concernait des changements de direction répétés face à Charles Leclerc et l'autre un manque de ralentissement suffisant sous double drapeau jaune. Aucune de ces sanctions n'a entraîné de points de pénalité. Des résultats similaires ont été appliqués à Oscar Piastri et Esteban Ocon plus tôt dans l'année.
