The Devil Wears Prada 2, sequel to the 2006 hit, arrives in cinemas on Thursday, April 30. Meryl Streep returns as Miranda Priestly, alongside Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs.
Gisele Bündchen, who shone as Serena in the original film, will not appear in the new production. Director David Frankel explained: "When we were filming last summer, she was having a baby and, as she was out of town, it was hard to align schedules".
The model had given birth to River, her first child with Joaquim Valente, in February 2025, during the filming period. Gisele was invited to return to the franchise but declined due to personal issues and scheduling conflicts.
In the original, Serena was one of Runway magazine's employees and stood out by praising Andy's look. Gisele and Joaquim were first seen together in November 2022, with the romance confirmed in 2024. She is also mother to Benjamin and Vivian from her ex-husband Tom Brady.
