Anato alerta sobre o impacto da crise aérea para usuários e agências

A Anato expressou preocupação com as insolvências de companhias aéreas, como a Spirit Airlines, e seus efeitos sobre os passageiros e agências de viagens na Colômbia.

A Associação Colombiana de Agências de Viagens e Turismo (Anato) solicitou medidas preventivas por parte das autoridades para proteger os consumidores em meio às interrupções de operações das companhias aéreas.

O grupo observou que situações como a da Spirit Airlines deixam milhares de passageiros vulneráveis após o pagamento antecipado por serviços não prestados. Elas também impactam as agências, que enfrentam pressões diretas por reembolsos e reclamações.

“Consideramos necessário que a autoridade competente, Supertransporte, Aeronáutica Civil e SIC, adote medidas preventivas”, afirmou Paula Cortés Calle, presidente executiva da Anato.

A Spirit Airlines informou que está procedendo com uma liquidação ordenada e que os passageiros que utilizaram cartões de crédito ou débito receberão reembolsos automáticos, enquanto aqueles que compraram por meio de agências devem processar as devoluções com os intermediários.
