Instituto Sou da Paz lança manifesto por CPMI do tráfico de armas

O Instituto Sou da Paz e outras organizações da sociedade civil lançam nesta quinta-feira (23) um manifesto em defesa da criação de uma CPMI para investigar o tráfico de armas e munições no Brasil. O documento, assinado por mais de 100 pessoas, aponta a falta de um diagnóstico nacional atualizado sobre as rotas do mercado ilegal de armamentos.

O manifesto enfatiza o aumento na circulação ilegal de armas, que fortalece o crime organizado e agrava a violência letal, inclusive contra policiais e populações vulneráveis. Ele cita dados do Ministério da Justiça e Segurança Pública, que registrou 107.653 apreensões de armas em 2025, o maior número em quatro anos.

O texto propõe uma apuração aprofundada sobre rotas de abastecimento, mecanismos de tráfico e fenômenos recentes, como montagem de armas com peças traficadas, produção caseira via impressoras 3D e recarga clandestina de munições.

Entre os signatários estão o antropólogo Luiz Eduardo Soares, o secretário nacional de Segurança Pública Mario Luiz Sarrubbo, o professor de Direito da USP Conrado Hübner Mendes e jornalistas como Bruno Paes Manso, Cecília Olliveira e Isabel Figueiredo.

A iniciativa conta com apoio de entidades como Fórum Brasileiro de Segurança Pública, Instituto Fogo Cruzado, Instituto Vladimir Herzog, Viva Rio e Transparência Internacional Brasil, entre outras.
