Der Stadtrat von Cali hat die Aufstockung des Bezirksbudgets für 2026 um 1,18 Billionen Pesos genehmigt. Die Mittel fließen vor allem in die Bereiche Sicherheit, Mobilität und Wohnungsbau.

Die Entscheidung folgte auf die Einbringung des Entwurfs der Vereinbarung 086 von 2026. Mehr als 1,075 Billionen Pesos sind neue Mittel und 105 Milliarden Pesos sind Haushaltsumschichtungen. Vierundachtzig Prozent der Mittel werden in öffentliche Investitionen fließen.

Der Bereich Sicherheit erhält 228,749 Milliarden Pesos für öffentliche Beleuchtung und Kriminalprävention. Die Investitionen in die Mobilität belaufen sich auf insgesamt 123,591 Milliarden Pesos für Straßen und das MIO-System. Wohnungsbau und öffentliche Dienstleistungen erhalten mehr als 101 Milliarden Pesos.

Vanessa López, stellvertretende Direktorin für integrale Entwicklung, merkte an, dass die Mittel den Entwicklungsplan „Cali Capital Pacífica de Colombia“ stärken werden. Zudem wurden Gelder für Gesundheit, Bildung und soziale Programme bereitgestellt.
