Kenya Railways kauft 24 Luftkompressoren für Züge im Rahmen eines von der Weltbank finanzierten Projekts

Die Kenya Railways Corporation hat eine Ausschreibung für den Kauf von 24 Luftkompressoren für Dieseltriebwagen (DMU) im Rahmen einer von der Weltbank unterstützten Initiative zur Verbesserung des Pendlerbahnverkehrs in Nairobi veröffentlicht.

Die Ausschreibung wurde am 12. Mai im Rahmen des Kenya Urban Mobility Improvement Project bekannt gegeben. Sie richtet sich weltweit an Anbieter im Wege eines internationalen wettbewerblichen Vergabeverfahrens.

Die Kompressoren sollen wesentliche Zugfunktionen antreiben, darunter Bremsen, Türen, Scheibenwischer und Signalhörner. Sie müssen sichere Druckniveaus für einen zuverlässigen Betrieb aufrechterhalten.

Alle Einheiten sind an die Lager der Nairobi Central Workshops von Kenya Railways zu liefern, um sie in die bestehende Flotte einzubauen. Die Angebote erfordern eine Sicherheitsleistung in Höhe von 1,5 Millionen Kenia-Schilling und müssen bis zum 11. Juni 2026 eingegangen sein.

Dies folgt auf die Absage einer ähnlichen Weltbank-Ausschreibung im April. Das Verfahren entspricht den Vergaberichtlinien der Bank für Investitionsprojekte.
