Purkayastha dijo tras el veredicto: "El fallo ha indicado lo que siempre hemos sostenido". El tribunal señaló que no existía ninguna persona perjudicada por el cargo de fraude y que el Banco de la Reserva de la India no había encontrado irregularidades.
