홍 감독은 “전술 훈련을 시작하기 전이었기 때문에 큰 영향은 없었다”며 “중요한 준비 시기에 이런 일이 발생해 안타깝다”고 밝혔다. 멕시코 연방 관계자는 최근 여러 드론이 경기장과 훈련장 주변 보안 구역에 진입하려다 격추됐다고 전했다.
한국은 19일 과달라하라 스타디움에서 멕시코와 조별리그 두 번째 경기를 치른다.
