코스피 지수는 장 초반 226.08포인트, 3.3퍼센트 오른 7,082.91로 출발했다. 오전 9시 15분 기준으로는 415.65포인트, 6.06퍼센트 상승한 7,272.48까지 확대됐다.
전일 코스피는 기술주 대량 매도 여파로 8.95퍼센트 급락했다가 반등해 0.73퍼센트 상승 마감했다. 미국 증시에서 다우존스산업평균지수는 0.02퍼센트 오른 52,508.27, 나스닥종합지수는 0.9퍼센트 오른 26,107.01을 기록했다.
삼성전자는 6.84퍼센트, SK하이닉스는 11.76퍼센트 급등하며 기술주가 상승을 주도했다. 현대자동차는 2.71퍼센트, 한화에어로스페이스는 5.5퍼센트, 포스코홀딩스는 3.95퍼센트 상승했다. 원달러 환율은 1,489.35원으로 1.15원 올랐다.
