Mitarbeiter von Double Fine stimmen für Gewerkschaftsbeitritt bei der CWA

Die Beschäftigten von Double Fine Productions haben für die Gründung einer Gewerkschaft unter dem Dach der Communications Workers of America (CWA) gestimmt. Die 42 Voll- und Teilzeitkräfte folgen damit ähnlichen gewerkschaftlichen Bestrebungen an anderen Microsoft-Studios.

Double Fine, das Studio hinter der Psychonauts-Reihe, hatte Ende letzter Woche einen Antrag auf gewerkschaftliche Organisierung gestellt. Am 7. Mai gaben die Mitarbeiter ihre Entscheidung bekannt, sich der CWA anzuschließen, um ihr Engagement für kreative Exzellenz, Vielfalt und Inklusion sowie die Lebensqualität der Arbeitnehmer zu wahren, wie die Gewerkschaft gegenüber Aftermath mitteilte. Dies folgt auf den beim National Labor Relations Board eingereichten Antrag des Studios auf eine Wahl und freiwillige Anerkennung.

Workers at the Microsoft-owned game studio Double Fine filed a petition with the National Labor Relations Board on May 7 to form a union.
