Gericht in Neiva bestätigt Urteile im Mordfall eines Taxifahrers aus dem Jahr 2020

Das Tribunal Superior de Neiva hat am 30. April die Haftstrafen für elf Kriminelle im Zusammenhang mit der Entführung und Ermordung des Taxifahrers Jaime Bautista Charry im Jahr 2020 rechtskräftig bestätigt. Das Verbrechen ereignete sich in der Nähe des Flusses Magdalena in Huila. Die Bande, die sich als Guerilla-Dissidenten ausgab, forderte auch nach der Tötung des Opfers weiterhin Lösegeld.

Die Entführung ereignete sich am 8. September 2020, als das Opfer in Neiva falsche Fahrgäste aufnahm. Vier Tage später, am 12. September, töteten die Entführer ihn im Gebiet Buziraco in Aipe, indem sie ihm die Kehle durchschnitten und mehrere Stichwunden zufügten. Sein Körper wurde in einem flachen Grab verscharrt.

Vier Jahre später wies das Gericht den Antrag der Verteidigung auf Nichtigerklärung zurück. Richter Alberto Poveda erklärte, dass „die Nichtigerklärung kein Mittel ist, um sich der Schuld zu entziehen.“ Telefonüberwachungen und Georeferenzierungsdaten bestätigten die Beteiligung aller Täter.

Die Strafen reichen von 31 bis 42 Jahren und acht Monaten Haft. Zu den Verurteilten gehören Yeison Ferney Tovar, Henry Bonilla Mendoza und Víctor Alfonso Méndez. Alle verbüßen ihre Haftstrafen wegen erpresserischer Entführung, Mordes und illegalen Waffenbesitzes.
