후커 차관은 미국 기업에 대한 공정한 대우와 시장 접근 장벽의 조속한 해결을 촉구했다. 박 차관은 이날 일본 총리와의 정상회담 결과를 설명하며 한미일 3각 협력 강화 의지를 밝혔다.
