Xbox Game Pass förlorade miljontals prenumeranter till följd av en prishöjning på 50 procent under hösten 2025. Erkännandet kom från strategichefen Matthew Ball under en intervju på Summer Game Fest.

Tjänsten uppskattades ha mer än 35 miljoner prenumeranter i mitten av 2025. Tidigare siffror visade 34 miljoner prenumeranter i februari 2024. Prishöjningen i oktober 2025 gällde Game Pass Ultimate-planen och omstrukturerade de lägre nivåerna. Den nya vd:n Asha Sharma sänkte priset igen i april 2026, dock inte till tidigare nivåer.
