Une étude associe la vitamine B12 et les folates à la fatigue

Une nouvelle étude japonaise a établi un lien entre les carences en vitamine B12 et en folates et une augmentation de la fatigue ainsi qu'une baisse de motivation chez des adultes par ailleurs en bonne santé. Les recherches ont examiné les marqueurs sanguins et les symptômes autodéclarés chez environ 600 participants.

Des chercheurs dirigés par le professeur Hiroaki Kanouchi à l'Université métropolitaine d'Osaka ont analysé les taux sanguins d'homocystéine, de folates et de vitamine B12. Ils ont également évalué la fatigue à l'aide de l'échelle de fatigue de Chalder et d'une échelle visuelle analogique, tout en contrôlant des variables telles que l'âge, le sommeil, la charge de travail et le régime alimentaire.
