Menurut Anang, perkara ini berhubungan dengan terpidana Marcella Santoso, yang pada 2025 terbukti memberikan suap senilai 4 juta dolar AS (setara Rp60 miliar) untuk memengaruhi putusan lepas dalam kasus korupsi fasilitas ekspor minyak sawit mentah (CPO). Ia juga terbukti melakukan tindak pidana pencucian uang (TPPU) senilai 2 juta dolar AS, bersama advokat Ariyanto.

Dalam kasus suap, Marcella dan Ariyanto, bersama Wahyu Gunawan sebagai panitera muda perdata Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Utara, bertindak sebagai perantara tim Wilmar untuk memberikan uang suap kepada Muhammad Arif Nuryanta, Wakil Ketua PN Jakarta Pusat saat itu. Uang tersebut kemudian dibagikan kepada tiga hakim majelis: Djuyamto, Agam Syarif Baharuddin, dan Ali Muhtarom, guna memuluskan putusan lepas bagi tiga korporasi.

Selain itu, kasus ini melibatkan gugatan perdata yang diajukan tiga korporasi ke Pengadilan Tata Usaha Negara (PTUN), di mana Ombudsman RI diduga memberikan rekomendasi untuk memperkuat gugatan tersebut.
