DPR RI sahkan UU Perlindungan Pekerja Rumah Tangga

DPR RI mengesahkan Rancangan Undang-Undang Perlindungan Pekerja Rumah Tangga (RUU PPRT) menjadi undang-undang dalam rapat paripurna pada 21 April 2026. Pengesahan ini disambut baik oleh Menteri Hukum Supratman Andi Agtas sebagai komitmen pemerintah melindungi pekerja rumah tangga dari eksploitasi dan pelecehan. Undang-undang ini mengatur perekrutan, pelatihan, dan penyelesaian konflik kerja.

Dalam rapat paripurna di Kompleks Parlemen, Senayan, Jakarta Pusat, pada Selasa, 21 April 2026, DPR RI resmi mengesahkan RUU PPRT menjadi UU. Ketua Badan Legislasi DPR, Bob Hasan, melaporkan pembahasan RUU tersebut kepada Ketua DPR Puan Maharani dan Menteri Hukum Supratman Andi Agtas. Puan kemudian meminta persetujuan fraksi-fraksi, yang dijawab "Setuju", sebelum ia mengetok palu.

Supratman Andi Agtas menegaskan bahwa UU PPRT mencerminkan kewajiban pemerintah dalam melindungi dan mengawasi penyelenggaraan pekerja rumah tangga. "Negara dalam hal ini pemerintah memiliki kewajiban di bidang ketenagakerjaan yaitu melakukan perlindungan dan pengawasan terhadap penyelenggaraan pekerja rumah tangga," katanya di Gedung DPR RI. Undang-undang ini bertujuan memberikan kepastian hukum, mencegah diskriminasi, eksploitasi, dan pelecehan, serta memastikan hubungan kerja yang harmonis dan kesejahteraan pekerja.

Menteri Koordinator Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Muhaimin Iskandar, atau Cak Imin, menyambut baik pengesahan ini sebagai hasil perjuangan puluhan tahun. "Saya menyambut baik dan kita semua bersyukur setelah puluhan tahun perjuangan mewujudkan undang-undang ini, akhirnya disetujui," ujarnya. Ia menyebutnya sebagai era baru kesetaraan hubungan kerja, meski mengakui tantangan seperti kemampuan pemberi kerja memenuhi kewajiban, yang dapat diselesaikan melalui kesepakatan kedua belah pihak.
